- Your computer, operating system and browser (for example, Google Chrome on Windows, Safari on a Mac)
- The course, rank and question you had selected
- What you did and what happened
- The app’s build number (click the “Kneading Cat Typing” heading on the top page to copy it)

About the service
Kneading Cat Typing is made so that even complete beginners can learn touch typing, typing without looking at the keyboard, without strain. It uses a rank system that widens the range of keys one step at a time from the home position, so you learn key positions and finger movements gradually, one hand and one row at a time. There are courses for typing English text and a course for typing Japanese in romaji (for learners of Japanese), and both JIS and US keyboards are supported. It suits anyone new to typing, including adults who want to practice again and people who use a computer at work.
“Fumifumi”, the Japanese name, describes a cat kneading a blanket with alternating front paws, which is where the English name “Kneading Cat” comes from. On the left of the screen, a kitten mascot cheers you on, swishing its tail and kneading in time with your typing speed. We want practice to feel less like a chore and more like something you enjoy coming back to.

Data and advertising
The Service requires no sign-up, and your practice records (ranks passed, personal bests and so on) are stored only in your browser. The operator never receives or keeps these records.
The Service is free, and to cover its running costs it shows advertising by Google AdSense, and on the pages other than the English pages, affiliate advertising through Moshimo Affiliate (Amazon, Rakuten Ichiba and Yahoo! Shopping). Google and others may use cookies to deliver ads. Details, including how to turn off personalized ads, are in the Privacy Policy.
