Kneading Cat Typing is a free web app where you practice touch typing with a kitten mascot, starting from the home row of the keyboard and widening the range little by little. It suits anyone new to typing, including adults who want to practice again and people who use a computer at work.
The kitten swishes its tail and kneads with its front paws faster as your score goes up, and blinks every now and then.
Ranks come in three lines, Right Paw, Left Paw and Kneading (both hands), and each rank adds a few more keys so you can learn the whole keyboard without strain. There are also Japanese questions typed in romaji, for learners of Japanese.
No sign-up is needed; everything runs in your browser. Your progress (ranks passed and personal bests) is stored only in this browser on your device and is never sent to a server.
